Retain a domain user after DC demotion

Hello, everyone.

I need to keep a special admin user that has special rights like (creating a token, etc...) after a Windows 2000 server DC demotion using (dcpromo). I understand when demoting a domain. That process will delete all domain users leaving just the administrator account.
Is there a way to export the special admin user and import it after the demotion using AD?

I appreciate any help.

Can you install another DC, transfer the FSMO roles, etc and wait for
replication to complete, and then work on your "real" dc?
