Dbx files

Hi there,

I used to have Windows 98. Then I upgraded it to Windows XP.

I had saved my indentity's files in a CD, but now I am not being able to
import it to XP.

I've tried to use the import option under "File" to no avail.

Now I've tried to copy the whole files to a temporary file on the Desktop
entitled "XP Outlook" but I received "Cannot copy file. Parameter is
incorrect."

Is this the reason that I am not being able to import it from OE 6?

Also, when I go to my indentity in the "Aplication Data" XP folder, I cannot
see the files. I know they are there as they show up with a search on hidden
files. The denomination of the Identity can be found but not the files
themselves.

Why is that?

Thank you very much.

One.

Seems that Outlook Express does not create the .dbx
files by default until you create your account. Create
you account like normal and then try to copy the .dbx
files to the directory.

Do you have any page where I could find such information? (how to create an
account)

But still, why would I not be able to copy the files from the CD to the
Desktop temp folder?

Thank you

Remove the 'read only' attributes from the file you copied
to your temp file before importing.

I can't. It does not allow me.

I've tried.
