Fixing corrupted OE dbx

Ronald

Hello

OE doesn't recognize Inbox.dbx as a valid dbx file and creates new.
How to fix OE 6.0 Inbox.dbx file?
Is there any free tools?

I already found a DBExtract. But it's not the best solution.
Some extracted messages loose subject when imported back to valid Inbox and
message loose a date, as there is a present date everywhere.
Therefore just extracting all messages would be the last effort only after
fixing has failed.

Any ideas how to fix instead of extraction?
Thank you!

PS. Googling results are not very reliable as, there are many similar
applications under different names, description being just a copy of others.
Looks like it's someone business to sell a freeware solution under different
names.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007/2010 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!
