I have some important emails in a saved .dbx file from OE from when my computer crashed. Im trying to open it and I tried word pad and note pad and some of the stuff comes out but not the emails I need, they are incoded or something. I also tried to put the .dbx file into my OE identities folder and no luck. How can I get OE to accept it. I also tried to import messages but too complicated. HELP!!!

you would have to be sure to copy it into the right
identity.. ususally there are a few in there that no
longer work. and it would have to replace the current
file, but with that you would loose the more recent emails.

import is really not complicated... go import, select what
ever version of OE you were using, instead of selecting an
identity check the box below to import for a store
directory... it will take you to a browse... i find it
easier to find it if i place it on the desktop
