DATE problem in VB/SQL on XP pro

i am running a VB/SQL application on two identical XP Pro
PCs. in both date format is set to "dd/MM/yyyy". but on
one of the pc VB application is fetching the date in
desired format whereas on other PC its getting date
in "MM/dd/yyyy" format. can someone tell where the
problem is ?????? and how to solve the issue.

Are you sure you set the date format to custom type - otherwise the
computers date setting (in regional settings) will override it.
