any idea what this problem is, and how can i correct it?
the drive or network connection that the shortcut "date manager.lnk" refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available then try again.
it says the same for "g start up.lnk" and "precision time.lnk"

Did you recently install and run Ad-Aware or some similar anti-spyware app?
I _think_ those shortcuts are looking for ripped out junk software.

you can search for the links (gstartup.lnk, precisiontime.lnk) and just
delete them... they're only shortcuts.

How do I find the links? You know-I started having thins problem and I am no longer able to enter internet explorer-when i try it can't find server. any idea? is this all tied in
Thanks again!

Gabby,
If I remember correctly, GSTARTUP.LNK can be deleted right off the start
menu...
START>>PROGRAMS>>STARTUP... right-click on the item and select DELETE...
The other one... can't remember where it can be found.

To search for the files on your computer, you don't need internet
explorer... press WIN-KEY+F to open the windows explorer search.
Enter the file names in the appropriate text box.

However, if your internet explorer is hosed... not sure how to help there...
maybe someone else has some suggestions.
You could try reinstalling SP-4... that's fixed IE for me inthe past...
download it at:
