Hi
I would like to copy-paste text from a website to Excel. The problem is that it keeps changing the text into a date. For instance, 1/8 changes to 8-JAN. How do I turn this off

Thanks in advanc

Try an Excel newsgroup if this doesn't work. Format the
field in Excel as general data.

With the cell or entire row/column of cells selected, click on the Excel
menu Format and then Cells. Change the format to Text. Note that you need
to do this before entering the value as Excel has already interpretted
entered data and converted it to Date.
