Date File Not Closed Properly

Hi,

Around 30% of the time when I open my Outlook 2003 a message comes up that
says "The date file "personal folders" was not closed properly. This file
is being check for problems." After it checks for problems my Outlook
opens up.

I have noticed that the deleted items were not fully being deleted when I
was closing Outlook. In the past it always deleted them upon exiting. So I
turned off the feature to delete items in the deleted folder upon closing.
This didn't solve the problem. But it shows somehow Outlook is not closing
properly that I am not aware of.

This is very puzzling to me because I am closing Outlook properly. To solve
this I have ran scanpst.exe on my pst file. Though it fixed some errors I
still have the problem noted above. I then uninstalled and reinstalled
Office 2003 and have all the updates and I still have this problem.

I am have no idea what to do next but everything I have and do is in this
pst file and I can't afford to have it go bad, etc.

I apprecaite any and all help.

When you close outlook, look in task manager to see if it's closing
completely.
