Date changes when printing saved letter in Word (Office XP)

How do I get the original date of the letter to print, rather than the date
I print the letter for a document saved in Word (Office XP)?
 
Press ALT+F9
Edit the TIME or DATE field to make it a CREATEDATE field.
Press F9 to update
Press ALT+F9 to display the original date.

Press Alt-F9 to display field codes. Change the { DATE } field to {
CREATEDATE } or { PRINTDATE }.
