database results wizard locks database

all of a sudden every time I use the database results wizard the minute it
tries to connect to the database it locks it - (creates a ldb file) and the
database cannot be edited in any way. I have to call my hosting company to
refresh the server to remove the lock file (I cannot delete it in front
page). Hosting company says it is frontpage doing this - anyone have any
ideas on what is going wrong?
using frontpage 2003 11.5516.5606

You should never be editing the DB (opening it in Access) w/i the FP web
- File Export it to your desktop to edit it, then File Import it back when done
If the .ldb is appearing in your FP web after you close all pages in the browser using it, it should be safe to delete it in FP
before you Import the changed DB
