DATABASE REPORTS - ACCESS 2003

Bon

In my office we are using 2003. I recently built a database and have been
using it for the past five months. Since late last month (Feb) I have been
unable to bring up the reports. I can input info into the forms or even in
the table but I am unable to generate a report. Is anyone else having a
similar problem? Were you able to fix it. We have sent my comput to the IT
department to no avail. I suggested reloading the software, I don't know if
that has been done but my databse is still not allowing me to open any of the
reports.

What happens when you try to open a report? Nothing? An Error Message? Can
you create a new report if you don't use the Wizard?

There've been a few emails on this subject with the same problem - Problems
with Acc2003 and reports. A google search provides several complaints but
few common solutions if any.
A few user mention that it happens when they change to Windows Vista

one user copied 'the binary value from DevModePerUser to the default
printer' whatever that means.

this user changed his default printer and it all started working again.

The article suggests that there may be a link with this article in the MS

Disconnecting Network Printer Leaves Registry Settings
But I can't see anything referring to this problem in the Access 2003

99% of the questions like this are resolved by setting or changing the
default printer in the Windows Control Panel.

As Duane suggested it's probably the printer. I had exactly the same problem
while using a shared network printer as the default. I couldn't create
reports or use existing reports. Other users could log onto my comptuer,
share the same printer and do fine. I set it up as a local IP printer, and
it works fine. Go figger.
