Database not recognixed by BCM

I had to migrate my BCM database from my laptop to my desktop due to laptop
failure. I have located the file " MSSmallBusiness.mdf" in the same folder as
the .mdf file that BCM does recognize. However, when I open the database
tools and attempt to change the file in use by "select a database", the one I
need does not show up in the available list. I have tried to repair the file
but this also will not let me get to the file I need. Neither does import or
restore. I really need to get at the data in the unreachable database. There
has to be some reason tha it is not available. It was operating fine on the
laptop. Is there a ownership issue? Is there some way to make the BCM open
and use this file? theMurf

First, import and restore work on other file types, but not MDF files.

BCM v3 should show MDF files in the Select Database dialog, if the
database is in the same locale and was created with the same database
version.

With BCM v2, the only way for BCM to see the database (i.e. show up in
Select Database) is if it is alrdeay attached to SQL. You can attach
databases with SQL Tools or OSQL.
