database moved to new server now problems connecting

Hello!

Company has a split access 2007 database. We recently moved to a new server
and moved the database to folders in the same place on the new server (i.e.
same path).

Now some users cannot connect to the database on the server. On
investigating, some of the users are pointing to the same copy of the FE on a
local computer, and some of them are pointing to an FE on the server. A bit
of a mess I've inherited.

Where should the FE be placed? On the local computer? How do I relink them
to the database? What permissions are required on the folder containing the
BE on the server?

Do I need to re-program the backend? I haven't done Access programming in
years so please be detailed in what I need to do.

Many thanks.

1. Take a copy of the Frontend and use the Linked Table Manager to relink to
the backend.

2. Distribute a copy of that frontend to each user and put it on their
computer.

3. The users should all have read/write/delete permissions for the folder
where the backend resides.
