Database help

I can't seem to get my database to work in preview mode. Is this normal. If
so is there a way around it?
 
You must test the database via http which means you either have a web server installed locally on
your PC or after you have published the site to a server running Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 IIS
and has the FP extensions.

Forgot to say, in your browser via File Menu | Preview In Browser.
