Hi

I am currently working on a project which will mean 200+ different
letters being stored on a server.

What I want to do is have contact information or internet information
etc appear in the footers. However, as much of this information will
be government related, the details will change fairly often.

Is there a way of having (other than mailmerge, as these letters are
templates imported into another system) a database or table where the
footer pulls the information from?

Otherwise I could have to amend 30 letters' tax office phone numbers,
another 30 for JobCentre numbers, and so on.

I hope this makes sense. It has been a long day.

Thanks

Steve

Perhaps put a MergeField in the footer to pull the information when merging?
Is that appropriate?

An AutoText field or IncludeText field might work for you here. It is easier
to update the source for an IncludeText field than it is to update an
AutoText entry. See http://daiya.mvps.org/includetext.htm.
