Database error when publishing with Frontpage2000

S

sarah

We have set up an Access 2000 database to load to our website using
Frontpage 2000.

When it is published what comes up on the page is a message saying

"Database Results Error

The application is listing arguments that are of the wrong type, are out of
acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another"

I've used a number of different databases including one used on another
site - any idea what I am doing wrong?

Check the DB you haven't used before against your code, and your DB connection to make sure you are using the correct DB/table

Have checked the connections and they appear Ok.

The path is 'fusion' and it leads to 'fpdb/fusion new.mdb'

The page is www.gphadenandassociates.com/fusiontwo.asp

Remove spaces from all folders and file names within the web, make sure the tables and fields names
within the database also do not have any spaces as well.

Have taken spaces out of field names and folders, set up a new connection -
fusion2 - and have the same result!

1. Have you had any database work on this site, if not does you host allow you to use Access?

2. Can you paste your database code into a message and post here?

I've sent an email to ISP as we haven't used databases on the site before.

It is a Virtual Host on a Linux machine and they say it is compatible with
Frontpage 2002 and has Sun ONE ASP.

I can paste the code but isn't it easier to look at it on the site? The page
is www.gphadenandassociates.com/fusiontwo.asp

The path is 'fusion' and it leads to 'fpdb/fusion new.mdb'

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Didn't think you could use Access or ASP on Linux/Apache
You may have to switch to PHP & MySql...at least that was my understanding

Sarah,

You only use Access databases on a Windows IIS server with ASP. It will not work under Unix/Linux
OSs.
