database connection

I desparately need assistance in connecting to a progress database. Could
some one please assist or provide pointers

Could you give us a bit more information. What development platform? VB, .net
2002,2003, 2005, SQL server, Access etc.

Most RAD (rapid application development) software's like VB allow for easy
connectivity with ODBC, SQL and Access from the db and giving you drag and
drop ability to your database fields.

You don't mention whether you have database driver/provider software.
