Data Validation - Scroll in the formula bar for a custom criteria

Hi there. I created a validation for a cell by using the "custom" criteria.
I then entered my formula into the formula bar. I now need to scroll back
and forward in this formula to make adjustments to the formula, but it seems
I can't scroll in this bar since it only adds the next cell reference number
into the formula when i press the arrow key. Is there anyway that i can
scroll in this formula bar ?
