My HDD is dead. The BIOS doesn't detect it but I need the data on it. What
can I do?

Pro recovery is the safest.

If the cost of that isnt justified, you may be able to swap the logic
card from a good drive of the same model and revision. Best to
have them as close as possible for maximum likelyhood of success.

You can find that freezing the drive in a plastic bag can
see it work long enough to get the data off the drive.
Thats basically a dry joint or cracked trace that conducts
well enough when frozen. This the most risky for the data.

Give it to a professional data recovery outfit. It will be expensive.

For the future: Make backups.

Your best bet will be to restore your most recent backup to a new drive.
