Can anyone reccommend a great Data Recovery freeware programme that works
with Windows XP? I have deleted some stuff accidentally and need to recover
it!

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Geordie

BIG fan of Restoration.
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html

TIP -- If you have files on your PC that need to be recovered, the more
you surf or download, the less chance you have of retrieving the data.
I keep restoration installed on my USB thumb drive and run it from
there. Usually works well!

Geordie, I have a site that has a lot links for recovering deleted
files. It starts here: http://www.s2services.com/deleted.htm. Look on
the right hand side for the different kind of undelete programs, such
as simple ones, full featured ones, camera and mini disk ones etc...

I have Google and Yaho ads on my site which make me money, but believe
me so far the Website and the time I put into it has me deep in the
red. Bambam's links are good especially the second link, though I'm
sure it works right, I think you will have to scroll up a bit. Of
course with these links you avoid the ads...

Also El Gee's comment is good, there a lot of confusing choices for
this kind of freeware and if Restoration does the job, why bother with
anything else. It is the simplest program and should be tried first.
