data loss problem

Hi, in my group, there are two users who share a very very simple database;
in it, they enter data directly into a single table. Recently, we discovered
that data that one of the users has entered during the past 2 days is not in
the table (but information entered by the other user appears to all be
there). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what might have caused
this problem for that user.

Thanks for any ideas.
 
Is the database 'split' into a front and backend? It could be linking to a
wrong backend?
