Data Link Properties Advanced Access Permissions is dead

I cannot edit tables from an Access Project to SQL Server. I setup the
Project to be able to adminster one database on our SQL Server 2000. I have
all the permissions on the database and both machines. However, I cannot
update the data from the Access Project. The 'Data Link Properties' >
'Advanced' tab's 'Access Permissions' is simply a dead window - I cannot set
permissions for anyone on this project. There is no documentation out there
to help. Any ideas?

Again, I have set a user with all the administrative priviledges here and
I'm using Access 2003 and SQL Server 2000.

Thanks.

There is not easy way (or no GUI way in Access ADP to set SQL Server
database object access permission). You may be able to use system SPs to do
that. But pratically, you do it with Enterprise Manager or other SQL Server
management tool (osql.exe, for example).

With MSDE1.0, however, you can manage SQL Server Logins/Permission through
ADP. These feature was removed when MSDE2000 was released.
