Data Execution Prevention

A Dell laptop I upgraded to SP2 now causes a Data Execution Prevention error
on Generic Host Process for Win32 Services. I also get a write error for
svchost32.exe, I assume is the same.

Where do I start to fix this? Machine is unusable as the error generates
over and over.

You receive a "Data Execution Prevention" error message in Windows XP
