data error - cyclic redundancy check

How do I resolve this error? I am trying to copy a .pst file from a CD so I
can open the file in outlook. I tried going to file then open and pointing
the the file on the d: drive, but it told me I did not have rights. So then I
tried to copy the file and that is when I got this error message.
 
I've seen this when the CD is dirty or scratched. Try to clean the CD as
best you can. If it has a scratch you might have to purchase something to
remove it.
