Data Error: (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

Cedric

I recently had to replace my C: drive after it started
behaving oddly and making noises. Now, when I try to copy
between the two drives in my tower (both are new drives)
or between my tower and my laptop I get a message that one
or more files can't be copied. The only information I get
is that there is a "Data Error: (Cyclic Redundancy
Check)." Anyone have a clue what is wrong?

Have you tried running chkdsk /r
and possibly a diagnostic tool downloadable from your
harddrive vendor?
