Data collection Form Edit

T

Tom Ventouris

We have a form which will be used almost daily, for data collection, based on
a query. During the test we found a typo in one of the field labels where a
brief description is included. Is there some way to edit the form?
(recreating it with all the custom lables is just too long a task).

Another issue on this topic, every time the form is sent, the messge reverts
to the default "Please fill out the form and retunr it to me". Can this
default message be changed?

Nothing in the help functions. Any advice, or deirection to a learning
resource will be appreciated.

Thanks is advance.

Tom,
You don't mention whether you have the ability to edit the application.
If it's an .mde file you must have the original master .mdb file, and
all changes must be made there... and the app reconverted to an .mde file.
If it's an .mdb file, you might try opening the app with the Shift key
depressed. That will bypass any code on startup, and allow you to access
the Access database screen, and allow design changes to your application
objects. (Tables, Forms, Reports...)

Hi Al

I have re read my original post and can see where I went wrong.

This is an ACCDB (2007) - Data Collection Form for Data Collection by E
Mail. I am not refering to a Form - as in DB Objects.

Apologies for misleading, and thanks for the response which is technically
correct for the quesion as posted.
