Can anyone help. Some weeks ago a mysterious file
appeared on my desktop it is ~.dat Since then a further
3 files have appeared. Coincidentally the PC crashes if
left inactive for a period of more than 15 mins. I have
checked on Trend Micro and Symantec to see if this is a
known virus with no results.

Any ideas?

this is cause by the outlook update which you put on your
computer via windows update. Remove the update
numberQ330994 from add romove program on computer. this
will get rid of the problem.
