DAO 1706 Error

mI installed MS Front Page and Access Upgrades over Office 2000

When I work with creating forms and queries in Acess, sonething called DAO
tries to load unsuccessfully. I have reinstalled both programs and kept the
original installation files.
The gobbly gook fro MS is very unclear about what this is and how to fix it.
The knowledge base seems to read as if this is my fault for not configuring
something correctly. All I've done is install the software I bought according
to the installation instructions.
How about some straight talk?

DAO is Data Access Objects.
It is the library that Access iteslf uses to manage its own objects.
In VBA code, you can use this library to manage the objects too.
