Windows XP Dance Ejay 4 Problem

If anyone in this forum has a music creation sofware such as Dance Ejay 4 does it skip seconds or jump every now and again or even display it has encountered a problem and needs to close when playing a made up tune??

If anyone knows why this happens, please help.
