Damaged registry!!!!

In an attempt to speed up a sluggish computer, I deleted
some critical files! My sound is now gone, and my camera
is disabled! System restore is not an option for me
now! Is there any help for me??

What did you delete? Files or registry entries?

In device manager is your camera and sound card listed? If you scan for new
hardware in device manager does it find the hardware?
