Damaged Hyperlink in Excel 2003 after saving an Excel Sheet

Andy

Hello,
I've got a problem with hyperlinks in Excel 2003.
Until I save the document they work fine - after saving a view
of the hyperlinks are corrupted.
There is a connection between the server which is named in the
hyperlink and the setting under options-general called "standard
save place" in german.

I've got a mounted drive H which is located on \\filer\user\andy
(Server is Windows 2000) and the entry H:\ on the option-general-tab.
H:\ is connected with AD for the user (profil-"basic-folder")

There's a further drive on this Fileserver for general using.
It's mounted as Drive O and located on \\filer\transfer.
Transfer and User are shares on this server.

If I create a link in Excel to a file on drive H - everything works
fine
- after saving, too!
If the link is to a file on drive O, it works fine first, until i save
the document. After saving there is an error-message displayed:
German "Die Adresse dieser Website ist unzulässig. Überprüfen Sie die
Adresse und versuchen Sie es erneut."
I try to translate:
"The address to this website is illegal. Check the address und try
again".

Now, there is no preview on mouse over on this link.
"Edit hyperlink" opens a window with the suggestion:
before save: \\filer\transfer\allgem\test.txt (on mouse-over there is
a prefix
"file:///")
after save: ..\..\..\transfer\allgem\test.txt

Changing the setting options-general "standard save place" to c:\ and
this links work
fine ... but I need this setting on drive H:\

Now this link is corrupted.

Has there anyone an idea ...

Thanks + Bye
Andy

If the folder or file name contains spaces, you need to enclose the
link within quotes (").

eg "\\servername\Folder\Sub Folder\File Name.doc"

Hi

Do you have a solution to the save problem ?
( It has nothing to do with blanks in folder name )
