Daily Windows Updates

For some reason I get notifications every day that there
are new Windows updates to install. If I proceed and
install them - I still get the update the next day. I'm
running Windows XP - no SP2 installed yet.

Any ideas on why it's doing this and how to make it stop
without disabling the automatic notification & download?

Go to c:\windows\system32\catroot2 and delete the contents or move the
contents to a newly created folder called "catroot2 backup". The backup
will allow you to move the contents back to the catroot2 folder in case of a
screw up.
