I'll have another look now and see what's up, I can't see anything simple wrong so it may take a while.

Whoops, I take it back - that was a simple fix after all... it looks like the process had hung, but as the task scheduler was still open it hadn't refreshed the "running" status. All fixed, plus I've told it to kill the process if it runs for over an hour, so it shouldn't happen again .
