when I use the D Drive to copy an application to my PC, everything works fine. But when I put in a blank CD and want to copy my files To the CD, I get an error message: "D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function." What's the problem?

Hi,

Double-click "My Computer". Right-click the CD drive and select properties.
Go to the recording tab, check that "enable recording on this drive" is
enabled.

It worked! The CD is now accessible.

But when I went to copy a folder from My Pictures, I hit "copy to CD" and got a message saying "The file "Thumbs" has extra information attached to it that might be lost if you continuing copying. The contents of the file will not be affected. Do you want to copy the file anyway?"
The file seems to be thumbs.db which it says is a database file. It's not anything I created tho

What does that mean? What information will be lost

The thumbs file is generated by windows to store the thumbnail pictures displayed in explorer or picture viewer. You do not need to copy it

I don't think the information below answered my question. I'm not interested in copying "thumbs". The message I get says that information attached to "thumbs" will be lost if I continue the operation to copy a picture file from my PC to a CD, and do I want to continue anyway. I want to know what information will get lost
