cyclic redundancy error

Kevin

I have an outlook.pst file.

When I try to start Outlook...and check email I have a
cyclic redundancy error.

I realize I need to use the inbox repair tool to fix this.

But I am trying to make a "backup" copy of the 1.5 Gb
outlook.pst file!!

When I try to right click and copy it to another folder it
says: "cannot copy file: cyclic redundancy error"

What can I do?

I have made a compressed copy of the outlook.pst and then
uncompressed it in another folder.

I then ran inbox repair tool on it. (found 2 errors)

Then I opened it in Outlook 2000. I found a lot
of "repaired folders," but it only went up to 7/8/2003.

and it did have all the files in it.

I still have the "original" corrupt outlook.pst file at
1.5 Gb.

The one I compressed and uncompressed was only 1.19 Gb.

WOuld that make a difference?
