I have been trying to copy a file from a CD-RW disc to my hard drive. About half way through, it gives the error message: "Cyclic redundancy error," and will not finish copying. Anyone know what this means? Thanks.

Hi,

It means a bad copy, the copy doesn't match the original. It may be a bad
burn, or the CDRW is scratched and is partially unreadable. Try cleaning the
CD (don't scratch it) and the drive itself with a CD lens cleaner disk
(usually commonly available at any store that sells any quantity of CD's).
