Cyclic Redundancy Check/Error

Hi...

I hope someone can help.... I tried downloading an avi file and it
downloaded... went to 99% downloaded, then a dialog box came up indicating it
was copying, presumably from the temp internet file to the destination folder
I had asked the file to be saved in. However, half way through, or so,
another dialog box came up with an erro.... something like 'Cyclic Redundancy
Check/Error' and thus although i downloaded the file it did not actually save
it in the folder I wanted thus cannot find it or open it. Does anyone know
what this cyclic redundancy thing is and how to solve it.... never used to
have this problem downloading any file from the www.

Many Thanks

CRC is a check (cyclic redundancy check) for the file's integrity. A CRC
error means that the file was corrupt. Try downloading it again. If you get
the same error, contact the website that hosts the file. They'll want to
replace the file if their copy is corrupt.
