hi there

I always back up my dvds that I buy, and I use dvd shrink to do so. Lately
on some dvds such as pirate sof carribean 2, when dvd shrink gos to encode
this dvd once ripped i get an error message of cyclic redundancy check,
saying the e:\ (which is my dvd rewriting dirve) cannot be read

However, using the same discs i use magic ripper and the disc can be read
fine without any problems?

Any ideas?

i have check other dvds and out of 5 including this one 2 come up with this
crc error

is it the disks or my dvd rewriter which is a Mashita UJ-831 DA (on my
laptop)?

Some DVD movies have a file that is automatically accessed when done by PC.
If extensive reoccuring reads of the DVD occur like an encode, the PC cannot
read the DVD after some time. The read ability is saturated.
