CWS is a never ending story with several variants.

Background:
Merijn has done a lot about this "shit".

He didn´t have time/or he need money with this so now it can
be dowloaded from Intermute

Choose the standalone version.

If your cws variant is a new one i think the best way to
solve your problem is to to go Lavasofts support forum.

You also probably need Hijack this.

Why not just test it and tell us? Install the program from a fresh
download, then restart in safe mode and scan twice--until your system is
shown as clean.

Then tell us whether CWS is still there. I'm not sure of the answer to this
one myself--the others may be right, but then again, you may have a variant
that this program already understands.

If it does not--please submit a Tools, Suspected spyware report?

Maybe, I dont think so.

;) Hmmm? Wait for final version ? Mr Ron needs help from
people who knows about cws hijacking and the latest versions
are really difficult to deal with.

No--not at all. The suspected spyware report will allow Microsoft to build
whichever CWS variant is in question into future definitions.

I'm not for a minute suggesting that folks not go beyond Microsoft
Antispyware to get help--I've posted third-party solutions to folks who've
come back and said Microsoft Antispyware didn't do the job on bug x.--and
I'll continue to do so.

The purpose of these groups is to test the Microsoft product--and I think
it's pretty reasonable to suggest that someone try that out--how long could
it take?

Yes of course, the program will be tested out but I dont
think MS/Giant have time
to update definitions so often. (I have noticed 2 updates)
As you also know CWS and VX2 are really tricky to remove and
new variants arrives in a never ending story.
