How to cut some usually not used programs,backups..in
windows xp system to increase drive space?

Refer section "Hard Disk - Cleaning" here:

Use DiskPie2 utility to see which folder in the hard disk is taking up the
space. Goto that folder and delete the unwanted files.

Additionally, use Disk Cleanup and purge all system restore points except
the last point. Click Start/Run/Cleanmgr / More Options / system restore
/cleanup.

Next, remove unwanted applications from Control Panel | AddRemove Programs
applet.
