Cut/Paste=loss of formating!!

I'm having trouble cutting and pasting to PP from Word. When I try to
cut/paste a table, it not only comes over with some of the borders missing,
but when I try to double click in the box (as i've read to do), the table
formatting is completely lost! It reverts to a bulleted list!

Please help!!!!

PPT tables and Word tables are different animals. If it doesn't have to be
editable, try Edit | Paste Special and paste as a picture.

Change the slide layout to Title and Table and select the table object area
before you paste. Your table will usually look different in powerpoint, but
sometimes the borders just look they aren't there because of the zoom being
at 60% or so in normal view. Never worrry about how things look on the slide
until you've seen it in slide show.

I'm so glad you posted this. I completely misread the original question.

Another option is to Edit | Paste Special and choose "Word object."
