Hi Group.
I'm having a problem with many of my dialogue boxes. About 25% of the right
hand side is just cut off, so there's information I can't see. This happens
with at least a half dozen different programs from several different
manufacturers, which makes me think it's a windows problem. Any ideas will
be appreciated.

Have you tried dragging the dialog boxes to the left?

Hi, Bob.

I think this will have something to do with your 'Display'. As it's a bit
long drawn out, the best I can do is to suggest you open Help and Support
and enter "dpi setting".

Ed

Do you mean my screen resolution? I'm running 1152x864. I can change it easy
enough. Thanks.

My guess is your display is set to 800x600 and the programs
were written to default pop-up messages at 1024x768.

Not quite, Bob.I'm referring to dpi (dots per inch). Control
Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced. When setting the dpi, many things are
affected including fonts, and dialogue boxes etc in *all* programmes.

Good luck,

Ed

I agree whith what your'e hinting at, Jim, but I'm sure Bob will note his
setting in Display. However, I think reducing to 1024x768 would help. Then
juggling with the dpi until he gets what he wants.

Ed

Thanks to all. Next time I'm having the problem, I'll look at those
settings.
