Cut and Paste Items into Outlook 2002 - Timing is Everything

I have tried to search for a solution to this problem, but I can't
find anyone who is talking about it.

When I "copy" an item, such as a Hyperlink or file, THEN open Outlook
and try to "paste" the item into an email, the data is replaced with
some sort of mail icon with a green arrow in it.

If Outlook is already open, the cut and paste work perfectly. So in a
nutshell, the act of opening Outlook causes the information in the
clipboard to be lost. Is there a setting for this somewhere? I had to
reload my PC recently (XP) and I do not remember having this problem
before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have an add-in installed that is causing the Office clipboard to wipe
out the contents of the Windows clipboard when you open Outlook, especially
if you are using Word as your e-mail editor. The following article has more
