Customizing a new version of Word 2007

I have existing versions of Word 2007 and have just acquired a new computer,
on which I will install yet another instance. I would like to import all my
macros and stuff into the new installation. In earlier versions of Word, this
was as simple as copying the template "normal.dot" into the template folder,
and that folder was relatively easy to find by simply saving a document as a
template, which gave you the path to the template folder. It does not seem to
be that simple anymore. Is there any way to accomplish this with the new
version?

Thanks.

Whether you can install Word 2007 on yet another PC will be determined by
the licensing associated with the version of Office that you possess.
However, that aside, the macros you would have stored in normal.dot on
earlier versions would still be stored in the normal template - normal.dotm,
and the process of finding the user template folder is exactly the same as
it was in the earlier version - only the dialogs are different. Word Options
Advanced > General > File Locations.

That will take care of the macros, and any customized styles, but there are new
hiding places for some of the "other stuff". If you customized any building
blocks (including AutoText), copy over the contents of the
%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks folder and its subfolder(s). If
you've added entries to your custom dictionary, that's in
%appdata%\Microsoft\UProof.
