Customized point list in PPT2007 template?

I´m working with a template for a client in ppt2007. The client wants a
special design on the bullets in the point lists that does not exists in the
ppt bullet point library. I have designed a new bullet and applied them to
the point list in all of the text boxes in the in the slide master view and
it works nicely when I insert a new textbox- the point list looks just as I
want it to. Every new text box starts with the custom made bullet point.

The problem is when I delete the bullet point from the text box, and then
want to change back to bullet point again. Instead of choosing the original
bullet that I have defined in the template slide master, the bullet that
shows is one common bullets from the ppt point list library! When I look in
the library the custom made bullet is gone. This makes it impossible to
create a textbox with both plain text and point list with bullets that looks
like the one my client want. This works in ppt 2003. Anyone knows what do ?

Noone who knows how I can solve this problem? OI´m not sure if I explained
the issue clear enough?

What I´m after is basicly a point list where the bullets are a shape that I
have drawn and imported to the point list gallery as an image.

This point list must be linked to the template so that every time a point
list is used in the document, my bullets will show in the point list instead
of the standard ppt-bullets. This have to work even if I erease the point
list from a text box and insert a new one using the "point lits-button".

I´ve done this many times before in ppt2003 but in 2007 it just won´t work.
I would be very greatful if someone could help me and my client with this.
