Customized Notifications

When I right-click on my system tray & select Customize
notifications, the icons appearing in my past items list
do not match their description. Any idea why this has
changed for me recently?

You may try clearing the past items and see if the problem happens again.

Please look at "53. Remove Past Items From Notification Area". The
"IconStreams" is correct but on my XP Home it uses "PastIconStream" not the
"PastIconStreams" (note "s" as last character).

Kelly's patch is correct here. The affected keys are "IconStreams" & "PastIconStream". Please have a look at the contents of the VBScript.

As you see it's not PastIconStreams, but "PastIconStream" which is correct!
