Is there a way to remove the 'favourites' off the toolbar that somehow
connects from the browser and ensure their is no communication between these
two programs.

Also, removing the address search bar.

If I correctly understand your question. Right click on a blank space on the
Tool bar, unclick Web.

That takes care of the search menu, how about up top .... 'favourites'.

How does this program attach information from the ie into this program and
how can I remove this option?

it's done through UI hooks - you can apply group policies to disable some of
the features, but most are available because it's part of a windows program.
