Public Folders in Favorite Folders Mail View or on custom Toolbar

OS: Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition
Server Setup: Terminal Server
Office Version: Office 2003 Standard SP2
Exchange Version: Exchange 2003 SP2

I have recently upgraded a Windows 2000 Terminal Server with Office 2002 to
Windows 2003 and Office 2003. I have used Group Policy, Default Profile, a
..PRF file and a Kix script for some customisation. Outlook works a treated
and is locked down to good effect.

However, we use two for company wide communications. I have set the two
folders on Outlook Today but we need them listed under the Favourite Folders
section under the Mail view on Outlook 2003. The folders remain listed in the
Favourites Folders in Folder View but are cleared from Favourite Folders in
mail view when I close Outlook. What's more, if I delete the default folders
in Favourite Folders in Mail view such as Sent Item they also reappear?!

Reading on this and many other forums, many people are having this problem.
Could it be possible to create a toolbar that is dynamically conencted to the
prefered public folders?

Hope someone can help, i'm really starting to lose now!!

the nav bar gets reset if outlook doesn't close properly or crashes - after
closing outlook, see if it's still in task manager.

You can create toolbar hyperlinks to the PF but they will open new outlook
windows, not reuse the current window.

if it is or is not in the task manager what does this mean? i assume if its
not in the task manager its closed properly, right?

if i was to create a toolbar with hyperlinks, will be animated in someway to
identiofy a new mesage in the PFs? opeing in a new window isnt a problem as
long as its wokring in some way.

erm...how might i create a tollbar with hyperlinks, that ones another baffler!

If its not too much bother, i have included the .PRF file content below,
could have something added or changed to reach the desired solution? also, is
there a way adding the PFs into the Outlook.xml/defaul.xml files?
