Customize Start Menu

Hello I have been trying to limit the access to hard drives and system areas
in WinXP.
I would like my fifteen year old son and his friends to only be able to run
programs and internet explorer so far so good. I have been using Group
Polices with Doug Knox's Securityconsole and it works great.

I have found only one Hole / Leak.

In the start menu if I right click on (All Programs) I can open or explore
all hard drives.
Is there a way to disable right click on the (All Programs) area of the
start menu.
I can disable right click on the start button and everywhere else but the
All Programs Button.

Any help please

Thanks in advance
Thomas

1. First set the Start Menu style to "Classic Start Menu" from Taskbar
properties.
2. Open Group Policy Editor and expand to "Start Menu and Taskbar"
3. Here set these policies
a. Remove Drag-and-drop context menus on the Start Menu - Enabled
b. Remove access to the context menus for the taskbar - Enabled
c. Force classic start menu - Enabled

They will not be able to right-click on Programs in Start menu while in
Classic Start Menu and they will also not able to change the view of Start
menu.

You can also prevent them to access aditional programs in Start Menu by
Enabling these settings:

1. Remove user's folders from the Start Menu.
2. Remove common programs groups from Start Menu.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!
