"Customize Outlook Today" button not functioning

In Outlook 2002, running under XP, the Outlook Today frame
opens each time I load Outlook. There is a "Customize
Outlook Today" button that is supposed to allow changes to
what appears at start up. When I click on "Customize
Outlook Today," nothing happens! No dialog box opens, no
drop-downs...nada! What could be the problem? I want to
go straight to Inbox uypon loading Outlook but I can't
with this bug. Everything else in Outlook 2002 works just
fine. Thanks for your help.

Correction------

I believe I am running Outlook 2000, not Outlook 2002.
It's part of a corporate (poremiere) version of Office
2000 Professional.

Sorry! Still have the problem, however.
